Tomba! PS4 – Version Update
Earlier this week, an announcement was made by Video Games Plus (VGP) stating that a wrong version (2.01) of the game was replicated onto the discs that Sony PlayStation’s manufacturer (DADC) produced and Limited Run Games (LRG) subsequently sold to VGP.
After thorough investigation by LRG, with DADC and testing actual produced discs, LRG confirmed that version (1.02), the correct and latest version of the Tomba!,was replicated onto all of the produced discs which were sold to VGP and subsequently sold to customers.
The (2.01) number, that also appears on the disc, is an internal cataloging number DADC uses to denote and track the Remaster version only.
(2.01) is not in any way connected or in reference to the game build number (1.02) that is replicated on every disc.
VGP would like to formally apologize to our customers for this error and misunderstanding but moreover, VGP specifically confirms that LRG is unequivocally faultless in this event, and that the error in messaging lies with VGP alone.
