Let’s get one thing out of the way right away. Yep, that “4” in the title means you can play this game together with up to three friends, locally. More specifically, you'll take on the roles of the adorable bubble dragons Bub, Bob, Peb, and Pab, blowing bubbles, defeating bullies, and battling big bosses in classic couch co-op on a single screen! They say shared joy is double joy, and in this new 2.5D adventure, it's quadruple! 

BUBBLES – JUST LIKE YOU REMEMBER THEM 
The concept of Bubble Bobble has always been as simple as it is brilliant. You blow bubbles with your mouth, and when you hit enemies, they become trapped inside. Pop the bubble, and they’re defeated for good. You can also bounce on bubbles or watch them get carried away by strong winds on certain stages. This was amazing back in the original 1986 game, and it still is today. Don’t believe us? Try it yourself! The arcade original is included as a bonus. Grab a friend and bubble away like it’s the 8-bit era once again! 

RUN!! 
This game is absolutely packed with content! Once you complete the game’s main Story Mode, you’ll unlock The Baron is Back! mode. Here, you’ll need to avoid the immortal (and, to be honest, completely terrifying) Baron von Blubba while defeating all the regular enemies. To call yourself a true master, you’ll have to clear 100 stages in a row, just like in the original Bubble Bobble. But unlike the classic game, up to four players can join in this challenge. Teamwork makes the dream work, right? 

SWITCH 2 EXCLUSIVE: STARDROP MOUNTAIN 
In this game mode, the stages scroll vertically instead of using the traditional fixed-screen format the series is known for. You'll need to use both your bubbles and your wits as you climb the colorful mountain and make your way to the summit. But watch out! Brand-new enemies and gimmicks stand in the way of Bub and his friends. And as if that wasn't enough, when you finally reach the top, you'll have to defeat a powerful boss too. This is truly a whole new way to experience Bubble Bobble!
